We train our student to the best of their ability. Our students not only develop and master the art of Taekwondo but also enhance their physical, mental and spiritual health through targeted training.
The key ingredients to becoming a martial artist is a positive attitude and persistence to do your best.
The benefits the students can expect from training in Taekwondo are: Fitness, Self-Defense, Self-Confidence, and fun. Parents also see the difference in their child through their confidence, self-esteem, focus and discipline. Students between the ages of 3 and 18 are encouraged to participate in the Karate for Kids program so their efforts are recognized for outstanding performance in class, school, home or at a tournament.
The Junior and Adult program share some of the same goals as the ATATigers, which include physical skills as well as life skills. These building blocks, along with Songahm Taekwondo are intended to build a more complete person.
The testing cycle is every 8 weeks. The 8 week cycles are designed to help each person develop relevant basic skills, learn a form and develop sparring skills. During the cycle instructors with their students reevaluate where they are in terms of their skills, make sure they are on track to meet their goals and set new goals if needed.
The Junior and Adult classes are split into 3 groups
Each 8 week testing cycle students will work on a specific block …. So what does that mean? Students work on a specific form for the 8 weeks while learning the form they will learn the meaning of the form, the basic techniques of the form and then one-steps and/or sparring techniques this is dependent on your belt color.
Our class schedule provides days and times of the various classes then all belt ranks are able to attend family classes.
At the beginning of every class-
